NEW International Workshop in France
SCULPTING TIME normandy 2010
-- Training in the countryside of south Normandy --
August 27 - September 10, 2010
(The dates include arrival and departure days. Both workshops are 50 hours of training. 2 rest days in between.)
NOW ACCEPTING LATE APPLICATIONS: Please ask for application form.
COURSE FEE: 280 euros / session (2 weeks, 50 hour training)
LODGING (utilities) FEE: 70 euros / session (2 weeks x 5 euros/night)
MEALS: Meals are communally prepared, usually 5-8 euro/day (depending if lunch is communal or independent)
For details of the program and to ask for application form, please write to: workshop@moeno.com with "training in Normandy" in the subject box. The period for submitting application is between June 10 and July 10, by post or by e-mail. Late application is accepted as long as there is still place.

and spirit
Workshop Structure
Part I: Foundation:
Physical training for: awareness, strength, flexibility, sensitivity
and concentration
Part II: State and Presence:
Exercises to:
-increase sensory awareness, open to new perceptions of time and space;
-inhibit compulsory actions and allow spontaneity;
-practice body mechanism to support states of expression.
Part III: Erasure and Becoming:
Using images and instructions of action to:
- erase functional/social self;
- alter ordinary boundaries between the self and the outside world to
acquire more direct communication and way of being;
- make time and space visible, and allow inner desires to manifest outward.
Part IV: Solo Dances

Make the self disappear and make visible other things

Dance is not only of the body nor only of the mind,
We are being danced by something larger, for which one can only yield
and become available.
Our conscious minds and our expressions are too small
to come close to the essence, even of a single falling leaf.
Then, do not try to understand, but surrender and let us be not the
creators, but the created.
